AJ in socks. Again!
One of my first posts here last year was a drawing of an adorable Applejack wearing socks. I wanted to see how much progress I’d made since then, so I did a new version to compare. I think I’ve come a long way, don’t you? Still, it always helps to have a good model.
You ever have one of those super elaborate dreams with no real point to them, just a bunch of events that somehow blend together well enough to form a semi-cohesive story?
I won’t attempt to tell play-by-play the entire dream, but highlights included waking up outside at a house party where they were jamming @samsynthis on Pandora (on a Zedd station, to be precise), being the passenger in a VERY low speed runaway car, stealing 5 gallons of ice cream from Target, and stereo shopping at Sears where I turned into Winston from Overwatch for some reason while trying to explain the rest of the dream to my mom. In the dream.
I wonder if her potato salad last night had anything to do with this.
Anyway, hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July.

So…I’m in like a frenzy of drawing outfits for pones so…this happened :P wanted to try putting something on AJ that She would never wear hahah.

It’s interesting to go back and redraw things. You can analyze how much you’ve grown artistically since then. Seems the thing that’s helped me grow the fastest in the shortest period of time is to stop being afraid of being sloppy. I’m usually such a perfectionist, I can’t get anything done. But just loosening up a bit pays off dividends. I’m getting to the point where I’m actually happy with what I’m creating again. It’s a nice feeling! Let’s hope it’s not fleeting.
A note about Green Ganache that never seems to get translated whenever I draw him: he’s a big boy. I’ve always imagined him being about Big Mac’s height, and just a little less buff. Now that I think about it…considering he’s my OC, I don’t really use him that often. I need to draw him interacting with other characters more often. Would anyone even be interested in that? Any simple requests?

Had a little accident at work the other day. Wrecked my car while making a delivery. I unfortunately found out the hard way that my insurance doesn’t really cover “delivery related damage.” Now I’m waiting to hear back from them or my employer, to see if there’s a chance they’ll cover the repairs. In the meantime, I have no transportation, thus I can’t work. And if they won’t help fix it, well…I might be in a bit of trouble. I got bills.
Thought about saying something earlier in the week, but there’s been a lot of crappy things going on in the world, and my problems are miniscule in comparison. I live alone, but I have a loving family that does what they can to help when absolutely necessary. I’ll survive somehow, so this is me venting to whomever’s listening, not begging for help. And to all my followers and friends, thanks for the support.
Need to get back to work on these commissions, then draw some more Gia. Y’all take care.
