Thank you, MelodicPony. I’ve listened to your music countless times over the years. I particularly liked The History of Ponyville, it had this mellow Concerning Hobbits feel to it. Whenever I felt like quitting this whole “drawing” thing, I’d plug in my headphones, pull up the old pony playlist, and just throw brushes against the canvas. Your music really helped me tune out the world, and all the stupid, negative voices in my head, so I could just drift into the drawing process. It really made a difference to me.
Oh dear. This is terrible, I had no idea he’d passed today. MelodicPony was one of the most talented musicians in the fandom, and I feel as though I took him for granted. So much beautiful, emotion-evoking music, but I never put a name to the art until now. I love all of his orchestral suites, and have listened to them probably 100 times each.
I’m tearing up writing this, as I listen to Luna’s Determination. This hurts. Thank you for your contribution to humanity, we are richer for it. You will be missed.
