I wanted to try something different, so I challenged myself to do what I could in 90 seconds, with a different brush for each. Ponk was crayon, AJ pencil, Derp watercolor. They’re not terrible, surprisingly!

So not to get too personal, but I’ve been having some health issues the past month or so. Seems my new (well, in the last year or so) sedentary lifestyle is catching up with me. My doctor is not pleased.
I was never a small dude, but with few exceptions, every job I’ve ever had kept me at least moderately active. Usually lots of walking and/or lifting, which kept me at a steady, manageable weight. But now I’m pretty much a desk jockey, and it’s catching up to me. That, along with getting up there in years, has made whatever minor afflictions I had before become noticeably aggravated. I’m lethargic, my knees are aching, and I’m starting to have some digestive issues (one episode of which led to an emergency room visit). I think I’m starting to lose some cognition too, and it’s scaring me a bit.
Long story short, I need to make some lifestyle changes, if not find a completely new job that’ll put me back on my feet again, even if only now and then. I miss being active and energetic, and not getting winded carrying groceries upstairs. And I definitely miss the way my clothes used to fit.
I’ve still got a few years to go, but I refuse to go into my 40s weighing 300+ lbs. Fuck’s sake, I want to live past 55. >:(
