I like pandas.

I got home a bit late, but I couldn’t go to bed before I wished @finalskies the happiest of birthdays.

Way back in the olden days (I joined the fandom towards the end of season 2), I took refuge in /r/mylittlepony. I hadn’t drawn anything in years, but heir-of-rick’s art was some of the first inspiration I had to get back into it (the rest being Berrytube). I wanted to draw cute, funny ponies just like he did. He’s given so much helpful advice, inspiration, and encouragement to budding artists over the years, I’m sure he’s indirectly responsible for more fandom art than any single other person. I consider him my first pony art senpai, though I don’t think I’ve ever spoken to him directly. Still, I respect the hell out of him, ludicrously big ears and all.

Little (lel) something for one of my absolute favorite artists, @ncmares. Seriously, I can’t get enough of his art, I’ve probably faved and reblogged more of his stuff than anyone else’s. (I even unconditionally like his Dash stuff, whaaaat.) Big or small, socked or not, he’s got the Best Pone game locked down tight. Peace, NC. Hope you had an awesome one.

Doubt he’ll see this, but I wanted to show my appreciation somehow for my favorite fandom reviewer, analyst, and most notable hippogriff. There aren’t many that can produce consistently entertaining content with such a unique blend of humor, insight, cartoonish violence, and, dare I say, wisdom. Not only is he a talented vector artist and voice actor, but he’s putting in work all over the place. How many collabs has this guy participated in? How many conventions has he attended? I don’t know how he does it. Needless to say, his efforts have impressed the hell out of me.
