ATG Day 5: Apparel Peril!
Wordplay is fun.
Hey y'all! It's art and stuff.
ATG Day 5: Apparel Peril!
Wordplay is fun.
ATG Day 4 :Rarity fencing.
Get it? Huh? HUH?
What, it was a good pun. If you didn’t at least chuckle, there will be hell to épée.
I had a long day yesterday, what with the new possible job stuff. I passed out when I got home and missed the deadline. :( Oh well, even if it’s too late for EQD, I can still share it here.
ATG Day 3: pony preparation. Starlight’s getting ready for a journey, I reckon.
Had a busy day today, so this is kind of late. Hope y’all enjoy it anyway! Might be a little busy tomorrow (testing for a new job, wish me luck), so I wouldn’t expect color for Day 4.
ATG Day 2: ponies moving. Who moves better than Miss Pie herself?
It’s that time of year again: Equestria Daily’s Artist Training Grounds!
Today’s subject was ponies standing/chilling. So here’s the best pony of all, taking a much deserved apple break.
Last year was the first I’d ever heard of this event, and since I’d just started drawing horse a few months prior, I was nowhere NEAR confident enough to even think about participating. In hindsight, I almost wish I had, but fear and low self esteem are a helluva combination, especially when you see all the other amazing artwork that gets posted. I completely disregarded the fact that it was meant to be practice, that I’m simply one of thousands of artists out there striving to be better. I am by no means a professional artist, but I’d like to think I’ve reached a point where I can provide guidance to other aspiring talents (even if it’s just ponies). It’s the least I can do to repay the kindness and generosity of this awesome community.
Huh. I promise I’ll try not to be so wordy with these in the future. Onward!
I was watching the latest AMWDW, and got inspired to sketch the good doctor himself.
It’s hard to put into words how much of an impact Dr. Wolf has had on this fandom. How? He listens. Take a moment to think about how meaningful that is. How many times have you needed someone to just listen to your problem? Not try to solve it, not analyze you…just let you speak, and gently guide you to the answer to your dilemma on your own? The man (wolf?) has the patience of a saint, our fandom’s own Fred Rogers in a way, though I’m sure he’d be much to modest to ever accept that level of compliment.
“A Moment with Dr. Wolf” is one of the best parts of the brony fandom. I can almost guarantee you there’s a subject he’s touched on that you’ve dealt with, or are currently going through. Just a reminder that you’re never truly alone, no matter how tough your situation is.
Thanks, Doc. It’s good to be helping.
This morning’s stream doodles. I have no idea what happened up there.
At least an awesome hug came out of it, though. Thanks for the idea, Tabby! (AltTab may not look it, but she loves hugs.)
Just wrapped up another awesome stream. Here’s all the doodles that came from it, including a much fabled pie-cake eating contest, and a pandapone, as well as an OC I whipped into shape (not mine!). Flurry Heart approved.
Thanks again for everyone that contributed, or just came by to lurk and look. I appreciate every single one of y’all. See you next time.
Commission for snake8head. It was fun helping him fine tune the design live, I’d like to stream more often. I might even implement OC design into my repertoire as another commission option, but we’ll see.
Stream doodles! Only a handful of folks made it by, but I stayed up most of the night taking requests after finishing up my latest commission. Thanks to bionictigershark, @cocoas-art, @heart04winds, @lordzelix, katiescootaloo, @ventorian (NSFW), and anyone else who watched and supported. See y’all next time!
