Doodle a day #4. Huh? Who’s that? Oh, Amethyst Star, Ponyville’s event planner and organizer before a certain purple egghead came to town. Did you catch her in the beginning of Friendship is Magic: Part 1, right next to Lyra? Boy, do these ponies get around.
Doodle a day #3, Lyra Heartstrings.
Now now, don’t give me that look. I have nothing against Lyra, I actually think she’s rather adorable. But I was rewatching Friendship is Magic Part 1, and the shocked look on her face after Twilight just ran past her, along with the revelation in Amending Fences that they were friends once made me go with a more downtrodden, dejected look. I mean, really Twilight, forget Moondancer, how could you treat Lyra that way?
In my head, this doodle takes place sometime after Nightmare Moon, and before she met her new BFF Bon Bon Sweetie Drops. Cheer up Lyra, better things are right around the corner.

I decided I wanted to go in order of appearance in the show with these. Yes, I realize I’ve essentially sentenced myself to death by background pony here (I gotta come up with some sort of fancy excuse for “characters of note”, or else episode 1 and 2 alone will kill me), but hey, it’s something different, right?

Trying to do at least one drawing a day, even if it’s crappy sketch that should have only taken me 10 minutes, but took me an hour because I suck at proportions and couldn’t get the neck or rear hooves right. HAHAHAHA art.
Klossi’s an awesome German friend. And he is best pony, as much as he denies it. Well, now I drew it, so it’s official. Suck it. <3

Been a while since I’ve drawn people, and never on tablet only. Had some useful input from some friends, turned out much better than it started. What do y’all think?
